New to the rental properties in Tayvallich the cottage is situated in the center of the village, with uninterrupted views over the village green, to the beautiful natural harbor that makes Tayvallich such an idyllic holiday location.
The Cottage is a 2-minute walk away from the village shop and café on the one side, and an equal 2-minute walk to our local pub and seafood restaurant on the other. The public slipway and pontoon stretch out from the village green, making it an ideal spot for water sport activities. Walking in the area is another popular pursuit.
Recently refurbished the cottage is well appointed and fit for purpose.
Downstairs has open plan Lounge with log burning stove, Kitchen and Dining area with patio doors leading to outside decked area with BBQ and dining table and chairs.
There is one double and one twin bedroom downstairs.
Upstairs has one twin room with games area.
All the rooms overlook the bay, even if your working in the kitchen, you can still enjoy the magical scenery.
The living room is cozy, with two sofas and an armchair, if the weather lets you down, the log burner will warm you (starter logs provided, others available to buy in local shop). There is TV and DVD player, small hi-fi and of course a large dining table for the cards/board games (selection provided).
The Kitchen is small, but provides all you will need, electric hob with large oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle. Washing machine, tumble dryer. Dishtowels are provided.
All the bed linen is provided and beds are made up, ready for your arrival. (Towels are not provided). There is plenty of wardrobe space in all rooms.
The games area upstairs has beanbag seating, TV and DVD player, and a Wii, with some games and DVD’s to use. The cards and board game selection are here also.
Toilet and shower room is located downstairs.
Heating, there is electric heating throughout the cottage, with heated towel rails in both kitchen and shower room.
There are other small helpful items around the cottage, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, drying line and picnic chairs.
A house guide on the appliances is located in the lounge to help you settle in.
There is no landline in the cottage, however the Wi-Fi is available throughout all rooms and has a good speed. Mobile phones on Vodafone have good reception; other networks are not so good.
There is a payphone opposite the village shop.
Pets are very welcome, but please be respectful of the furniture.
Sorry the cottage is a no smoking house for the benefit of others.
There is good parking space at the side of the cottage for 2 cars.
Lets are from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival at 2pm and Departure at 10 am prompt allowing cleaning time for next guest please.
